Innovating together with AI in the manufacturing industry
The ERDF grant application for the PARADAIM innovation project was recently approved. This means that we can now fully launch our joint, innovative project around AI-assisted product development, with promising results in the coming years.
Within PARADAIM, we work from HGG – jointly with AWL, MechDes, Hollander Techniek, Van den Bos CM, Verbruggen – together with the knowledge institutions Windesheim and University of Twente, under the penmanship of Perron038. Together we realize a virtual product development process based on an AI-supported Digital Model of new machines, sensors and control systems.
Here, we use data acquisition and AI analysis for the process of design, development and virtual commissioning of a Digital Model of a new production machine. Based on this optimized Digital Model, we then realize the “Physical Twin” of the machine. With this we strive not only for quality improvement and a higher market value of the final product, but also for significant time savings in development and commissioning.
The knowledge institutions Windesheim and University of Twente contribute state-of-the-art knowledge and translate it into concrete technology demonstrators. As lead agency, Perron038 ensures that the knowledge gained is widely shared within the manufacturing industry. Therefore, various workshops and knowledge events will be organized in the period until mid-2027.
The PARADAIM project is co-funded by the European Union.
