Software

HGG’s leading technology covers machine controls, 3D contours, macro form optimisation, robot paths, intelligent measuring cycles and haptic . This clearly illustrates the prominent role of software in our company. Fully developed in-house, the software for our machines ensures the best results for the automation of your specialist manufacturing processes.
Some of the distinctive features have already been outlined above. However, we all know that the real benefits manifest themselves in ease of operation. HGG offers exactly that, in the areas of machine operation, work preparation and reporting.
No matter how advanced the technology, the operator should be able to handle the machine almost intuitively. Our machines are therefore equipped with large, industrial touch screens running a special human interface. In standard mode, this interface is set up for most of the operational features, making the touch screen orderly, understandable and therefore easy to use. Advanced modus provides access to the full work preparation package.
A number of important preconditions that formed the basis of the machine operations design include intuitive handling, ongoing monitoring of the operational process, the freedom to make (to programme) last minute changes in production, clear view of the work list, and visual reproduction of the process and end product.
In our day and age, programming at the machine itself is no longer common practice. HGG has developed a powerful work preparation module for parametric programming, optimum nesting and 3D visualisation of the machine’s work: the ProCAM suite.
Industries are increasingly looking for ways to export and convert entire steel structures, modelled in a large variety of CAD packages, into NC data files for manufacturing machines, without the need for further processing. Our ProCAM suite is the perfect response, offering an interface with much used CAD packages such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, StruCAD, BoCAD, Pro Engineer, Solid Designer, Nupas CADMatic, Tribon/Aveva, Intergraph, Alias/Spoolgen, Sener/Foran, Shipconstructor and many more.
BIM is today’s magic word, reflecting the trend of extensive standardisation between the various players in the market, from design to production. HGG follows this trend and even leads the way by co-developing modelling tools for CAD packages of the principal industrial companies, and rolling out this standard to other machine builders and CAD package suppliers.
Furthermore, ProCAM interfaces with the customer specific post processors we build.
The reporting module available in the ProCAM suite provides access to information on the effective output. The machine gives feedback of actual data and converts it into a visual module that enables management analysis on issues like cutting times versus handling, waste, weld seam volumes and output in tons of steel.
The ProCAM suite also offers a quality module to perform track & trace on material, as well as digital documenting of accuracy measurements.
The reporting module was designed on the basis of a few important preconditions such as a dashboard feature for an at a glance overview, a wide selection of standard reporting tools and a database feature for individual reporting. |
