HGG spends a lot of time, money and energy on research and development of new and innovative concepts. We currently own three patents for several countries and regions.
Partial Joint Penetration Profile – groove weld
One of HGG’s patents involves the development of the Partial Joint Penetration profile weld, a pipe joint for optimised fitting and weldability.
Double cranked cutting head
The second patent relates to the cutting head of our pipe cutters: a mechanical system whereby no more than two CNC controlled axes command four separate movement directions. The major advantage of this construction is the machine's compactness, resulting in reduced sensitivity for external influences. A higher quality cut is the ultimate outcome.
RPC with rotating robot
HGG’s third patent protects the equipment and operation method for cutting 3D profiles. The patent covers the APC, a hollow section and beam cutting machine that allows a rotating robot to revolve around the profilable material.
